The mansion is beautifully decorated for Christmas this year, to tell us the stories of nineteenth-century Philadelphians and the ways they created our Christmas traditions. Stroll through each room and learn about the birth of Christmas trees, new carols, literature, and poems, and how shopping became a way of celebrating.
Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion is open for special Victorian Christmas tours Friday and Saturday at noon, one, and two p.m.
