Dickens Christmas Party – Sponsored in part by U U House Outreach Program

Saturday, December 12, 2015 – 1 to 4 pm
NEW for 2015 – Santa Claus will be visiting the Mansion from 1 to 3 pm.  Also NEW for 2015 – Touch of Classics Victorian Carolers performing Christmas favorites such as “Sleigh Ride”, “The Holy and the Ivy” and “Winter Wonderland”.  At 3:15,  Mansion favorite, Josh Hitchens, presents his compelling one-man performance of Dickens classic A Christmas Carol. Children have the opportunity to create Christmas cards and wrap gifts purchased in the Mansion gift shop. Luscious cookies and Victorian punch served. Reservations strongly suggested.

Before Ebenezer Scrooge, there was Gabriel Grubb. Before Marley and the Ghosts of Christmas, there were the Goblins. Come hear Charles Dickens’ original tale of Christmas, “The Story of the Goblins Who Stole a Sexton”, as performed by Philadelphia’s Dickens Ambassador, Edward G. Pettit.  Enjoy a champagne reception and a special Dickensian toast amid magnificent Victorian decorations.  Reservations required.
